Why form a police advisory committee for Springbank?
The Springbank Police Advisory Committee was formed following a community meeting of nearly 200 concerned residents held in April of 2007 in Springbank. The focus of the meeting was to share information and safety concerns regarding several recent party crashing incidents at private parties in Springbank, the most serious of which involved weapons and resulted in significant damage to property and non-life threatening injury. In attendance were community members, RCMP, City of Calgary Police, the High School Principal and Rocky View Councilors.

As a result of the discussions at this meeting, the Springbank Police Advisory Committee was formed in November 2007. Our mission is to create a partnership with community, schools, business, law enforcement and government agencies striving to ensure a safe and informed community.

The Springbank Police Advisory Committee invites individuals, organizations, businesses and communities to participate in this local effort to ensure Springbank remains a well informed, safe community to live and work in.
